Like Ruins, heavily keys-based. Same frustration as with most of her short EPs - this is too short, and the mood barely has time to settle that it already ends. More so than the length of the record, it's the length of the individual tracks that hurts. The material is nice but not grasping enough to make up for that. 2.9

Extremely good but why was it only 22 minutes long ? Won't give a 4 because of that, I was extremely disappointed that it ended up when I started to drown in her sound. I NEED MOAR.

Ruins Pt 2 isn't quite as great as the original, but it's still Grouper being Grouper, and Grouper doesn't really write bad tracks. "Grid of Points" just isn't her best, nor most developed, album. It's a bit too short and feels like smoke slipping through your fingers, gone before you realize it (Despite the Grouper-y imagery, this is not, in this case, a good thing.).

waves of ethereal emotional soundscape that flow me along the work of reverb that blend and melt the sweet vocals and melodic piano into beautiful soothing atmosphere / peaceful, spacious, and melancholic

71/100. Light, airy, dreamy, and over before you know it. While Grouper's latest project contains some stunning and icy moments, the LP ultimately lacks the run time to impart any real profundity. Don't get me wrong, this is absolutely beautiful--- but with only 22 minutes of music, there isn't that much to write home about.
