It's nice to hear an album again that doesn't completely waste Tommy's talent

Usually fairly well-developed progressive power metal, but it is ungodly long. The length can make the experience drag on as it doesn't change styles up very often. But there are a few real bangers on this album.

When listened to as a whole from start to finish in one sitting, the album is great and the story flows nicely. But when listened to individually, the songs don't really stand out when compared to previous albums.

This album wouldn't be so good without Tommy's magnificent vocals. Just amazing!! The rest of the elements are good too, especially the melodies. Another great addition to Seventh Wonder's excellent discography.

Tiara is Seventh Wonder's attempt to further fine-tune their prog-power metal style, and the results are once again pleasing. Where each of the band's previous albums bathed in more than a handful of grandiose extravagances, this feels a bit more collected in an attempt to be more tactful. It doesn't always pan out, especially when taking each track individually, but as a whole, Tiara holds itself together without descending into something overblown or, conversely, unenthusiastic.

What impresses me most about this album, is for a band with an iffy legacy when it comes to lyrics, the lyrics on this album flow perfectly and the metatext is well executed without being heavy handed. This is a ballad for my generation and it's perfect
