Gets better with every listen. While it's not as in your face as Costello Music, the writing is more mature and interesting with some really unique sounding ideas.. like the twangy "Stragglers Moon" and the explosive "Milk and Money"

It's not a bad album by any stretch, but the Fratellis kind of lost the exciting sound that made their first album so great.

This is the sophmore attempt from the three boys from Scotland. Unlike the previous album, Costello Music, this album includes a lot more piano and more advanced songwriting. While the sound change isn't that drastic, it does affect the album. There are less hooks thrown into songs and more dynamic songwriting. Overall, it falls just short of being what Costello Music was. This, however, is a good stepping stone for the Fratellis to experiment with their sound. Hopefully they will master that sound and put it to good use in the future.

Solid, but perhaps without the charm and wit of their first album. There's less 'dah dah dahs' here and a lot more piano...which is good, i guess. It's ok.
