Turned on this album again after hooking up my Cassette Deck to my Stereo system, and WOW I forgot how much I like this.
Still working my way on appreciating this all the way through. But those first 4 tracks are so superb I keep going back to restart them. It's a euphoric mix of early 90s electronic, gorgeously arranged strings and acoustic instruments, and topped off with Seal's iconic vocals.
Honestly, special highlight to those vocals. While they sound fantastic to my ears as is, the flowing melodies make tracks like the opener "The Beginning" sound fantastic. The verses especially, that second verse has such a fun vocal melody. Not that it's funny, but it comes off as effortless. It's wonderful.
