4.5 superb | praise jimmy EMERITUS | March 17th 18 | It bounces, glides, swirls, hovers, brushes; it transcends dronage into unusual rhythmic glitchery and further beyond your brother's bandcamp electronic digs. Bad descriptors for a beaut of a record don't do it justice.

3.5 great | judasgoat | May 11th 18 | Like the new Sleep record, Unieqav is repetitive in the right ways. The compositions gradually shift along its 50+ minute runtime, which surprisingly feels much shorter than it is. It never feels boring or stale, but instead feels hypnotic, inviting you to get lost in the stuttering beats while the music evolves around you. You'd think that a record like this wouldn't work at all, but it really does.

0.0 | nonelikeus | March 21st 18 | the most boring niche of electronic filtered through perhaps the most interesting (at least the widest in scope). it seems of indeterminate form (i'm a maths major ease up; i can use whatever terminology i want) -- specifically 0 x inf -- and while normally this would require some working to solve, it is plain to see here that the propensity to bore/tend to zero dominates. i guess that should be unsurprising.... noto has always specialised in elevator music.
