This album is an absolute mess of ideas all held together by the sort of melodrama only possible in Japan. If the kid in middle school who used to run with his arms spread behind him while leaping from lunchroom table to lunchroom table recorded a blackish, shoegazey OST, it wouldn't sound nearly as good as this but it'd hold similar levels of ambition.
