It's very rare nowadays to see a band make such a great debut album. I fell in love with this band the first time I heard this album. From beginning to end, a relentless assault is relased upon the listener. They use basically the same formula for most of the songs and not many chances. However, this is common for a debut album. Overall great vocals that are covered with aggressive guitars and breakdowns that actually sound good, and a drummer who can keep the pace and then some behind the kit. I used "Siren Song" as my pump-up song before football games my senior year, and it got the job done. The rest of the album can definitely do the same.

Repetitive song structures and overused lyrical topics make this release a pretty mediocre entry into the genre, the instrumentation is solid but the band members play it safe and as such, have failed to experiment or try anything new.

Although I do agree with some reviewers that this release has many formulaic moments, they definitely make up for it by lyrics that are atypical for hardcore (for the most part). Especially for a debut release, this band has a lot of potential and can definitely rise to greatness considering the current state of hardcore. Major acts like Have Heart are calling it quits and the metalcore fad is slowly dying, bands like this have a chance to become heavy-hitters in this genre.
