Hard to place this one; on one hand, this is incredibly heavy and hard-hitting from start to finish. On the other hand, every song starts to blend very quickly. Will Haven perform Zao-like songs, where a central riff/guitar part dominates a track. However, where Zao explode into melodic sections and climaxes, WH seem content to stick to the heaviness. It works great sometimes (Now in the Ashes) and other times you just get bored, unfortunately.

I consider myself a big Will Haven fan but I have to say I'm a little disappointed by this so far. It's crushingly heavy and hard-hitting but the whole album sounds way too similar. Voir Dire was a much stronger album.
