A heaping helping of Danzig's kickass groove metal. You better not listen to it. Your favorite bands won't sound as good after.

I used to listen to this tons in high school for some reason, i was never really a fan of it. But revisiting it, this is a really really good Heavy Metal record. I think the instrumentation can get kinda stale, a sort of dumbed down Black Sabbath style, but the songwriting is really catchy and memorable regardless.

A good, but not great effort. With songs like Am I Demon and Mother, it's easy to see what Danzig should aim for but what they often don't attain. Simple, bluesy heavy metal but thats good - no extravagant song lengths, no thinking outside the box but a vehicle for (one of) the best voices and frontman's in heavy metal.
