So...by listening to the new The Ocean (that features Katatonia) I remembered some friend recorded this CD for me when it came out (because of Tool lol), and I listened to it a lot without actually sharing...now listening to it I'm acknowledging I remember practically every bit of it and with more notion that this is actually pretty good. Though is sometimes is too commercial it has a great personal value for me.

A bit of a slog for me to get through, namely those first 20 minutes. After that things begin to pick up and the album nears greatness, but it ends up being so close yet so far at the same time. The album is all over the place with me, so I'm all over the place with the album.

Katatonia's high point. Songs are so dark, so engaging, so well written and produced that for me it's almost the perfect album. Even after hundreds of listens, I've never tired of it. Will remain one of my favourite albums until my dying day.
