This is one of the classics from the old school death metal scene. Up there with Morbid Angel, Death, and older Deicide.
Everything from the dark tremolo picking, the mosh-inducing slams, the super evil vocals (they've been called the most evil death metal vocals ever!), and the audible/competent bass guitar; screams old school, brutal death metal. DEFINITELY not an album to pass up if you enjoy death metal the way it should be.

This is fantastic album hand's down. Don't let the group's Christian moniker fool you. This is some of the most unique death metal around. Mortification have always been innovative.

This is a great album, but it's nothing like Suffocation. It reminds me of early Deicide.

Almost finished it yesterday but had to jam the last 5 minutes today lol - an album that starts much dorkier than its bulk with 1, and that then goes into pretty cool but mindless chug, before it goes for mindless chug for so long that it becomes dorky again, with the occasional extra dorky moment e.g. some of the vocals on the closer. The main vocalist rips though, and I must say 6's calm intro before restarting offers a welcome breath of fresh air. It was fine, but I also have no interest in rejamming this really. 3.4
