I always compared this album to Bergtatt; the only real distinctive difference being that this is slightly more brutal and if it only broke a pattern and stepped outside its comfort zone and approaching more variety in the songwriting it would be a thousand times better because at times, this is as good as it gets as far as black metal goes.
