Eminem album comes out, people listen once, they compare it to MMLP, and they leave angry comments. Give it a few years, people will realize that there are a minimum of nine great tracks on this thing.

Essentially everything wrong with his return-era material lumped into one obnoxious release. The Rick Rubin produced hard rock-inspired tracks are tryhard garbage and Eminem needs to flatout fuck off with those, he has like six songs crying about women with some of the most insipid, copy/paste pop singer hooks that you could essentially interchange freely, and his flow has become so robotic and weird that it throws off the rhythm of a large majority of songs. Like seriously, why does he feel the need to enunciate literally everything? Did he take rapping lessons from Siri or something?
There are a couple tracks here worth a shit (Chloraseptic shows Eminem willing to try out modern rap conventions to good effect, while Framed and Offended offer a glimpse into what a modern day Eminem SHOULD sound like) but overall this is the easiest 'skip' in his discography.

This is more like a 3 but this is getting an excessive amount of hate. There is definitely garbage here, all the Rick Rubin tracks fucking suck as well as the singles. However, there are some really rsolid songs here too, I was honestly surprised by several of these. Believe, Revival, Like Home, In rYour Head and Castle were all really solid tracks. Oddly I didn't even hate the Ed Sheeran track, thought he blended into it pretty well tbh.rEDIT: bumped down to 2.5

You can only believe it if you listen to it. A dude's lost, and he tries to capture what made him great 20 years ago without seeming to understand what made him great in the first place. 'member when he was fun? Him neither. On top of that, he never was *amazing* with choruses, but this time they are either laughable or sung by pop stars he would have trashed back in da dayz. Oh and of course, the record is way too long at almost 80 minutes. A complete wreck of an album. 1.1

I mean it was fine. The first half of the album I can easily say that I disliked, with the only track really liking being River, which is my favourite song featured in revival. It may be because of the story conveyed through the song, or the great hook by Ed Sheeran, but I to be honest love that song. Now the album gets kinda better after the track "Bad Husband". From there till the end the album is a more solid, with the exceptions being the god-awful "Heat" with the unbearable country music and "Castle" with one of the most uninteresting chorus in the entire album. Now except "River", the other songs that I like are "Framed", which I have liked more and more as I've listened it, taking in account that I thought that the chorus was laughable the first time I've heard it and now believing that that was the point. I also liked "Tragic Endings" and found "Nowhere Fast" quite underrated. Yes I was not a big fan of "Walk on Water" as I thought it was kinda dumb. rWhat I noticed is that my favourite songs except River and Framed are the ones that feature other artists and it became obvious that I got quickly tired of Eminem in this album and that may be why so many other singers were involved. But still, I didn't hate myself listening to it and I would give it a light 6/10.

Simply one of the worst things I have ever heard. There is almost nothing of worth here. There are
only two songs worth your time on this album and they come at the end of the 77 minute run time,
which is made up by 19 songs. Castle is one of Eminem's greatest songs, and Arose compliments it
very well, but other than that, this album is pure garbage. Heat, Untouchable, Bad Husband, and
Remind Me are some of the worst tracks Em has ever written. The production is horrific, and the
hooks are absolutely nauseating. The only song with a decent hook is Castle. Absolutely one of the
worst records I've ever had the displeasure of hearing. Would rate a 0.1 if I could.

now If someone says I'm the biggest incarnated Stan of my country, then I can agree. MMLP is
arguably my favorite album of all time, for 20+ reasons. The Eminem Show and Infinite are also
classics imo.
But as of right now, I most be honest; Revival is pure disappointment. Comparing it to Eminem's
other albums, this album falls short of any confidence. The beats are the worst part, so painfully
basic and mediocre.
Recovery had at least some potential, and Relapse at least felt consistent in sound.
I wish he could make more songs like Campaign Speech, which essentially is an 8-minute straight
fire line after line, over a beat that other people wouldn't even dare to rap something interesting
over. He could maybe variate some topics abit more (like advicin' his audience about life), or
change up his style totally (I think he would be excellent by spitting a stream-of-consciousness
Verse).
Revival doesn't do any of that. The only songs I liked was Walk On Water, In Your Head and River,
last mentioned as of how surprised Ed's chorus is. And the production actually is decent.

eminem has dropped a lot of awful projects in the last 12 years but this is definitely the bottom of the barrel. i'm not even going to talk about how he seamlessly ruined "zombies" because somehow, tracks like offended and framed managed to be worse than that, featuring some of em's most god awful hooks and beats ever. the poppiest tracks are as corny as you probably expected, with choruses that are completely forgettable. don't even get me started on the rock-influenced beats, tho lmao. but, worst of all... em's performance and lyricism: not good.
