Horrendous lyrics that make you wonder if the band seriously wrote them and thought, "These are good lyrics", paired with lifeless instrumental work make this a true struggle to listen through.

I have high hopes for this album. The title track "I am Human" is cheesy bullshit, but the other two
songs that have been released are great. "Empire" is an awesome dark party anthem that takes a
more industrial metal approach, and "Do you love me? is a great return to form for the band.
Broken heart blends the styles of the 3 songs very well to create a lyrically less mature song with
more upbeat instrumentals. And Digging My Own Grave is pretty neat. Album cover is pretty neat
as well.

This is better than their previous effort. But...I'll rehash what I wrote for "Hate Me": "Escape the Fate were contractually-obligated to produce a new album. It shows."

I didn't think that in 2018, after four extremely forgettable records, I'd be giving Escape the Fate a positive nod. But yet here I am, giving this bad boy a 3.5 at first listen (subject to change). This shit is extremely catchy, and altogether leagues more well rounded than their past few efforts. Since Ronnie left, ETF has been nothing more than a singles band. Seriously, the only tracks worth listening to in the Craig Mabbitt era are the singles from each album. But here, we seem to find consistency front to back. How they did it, I may never know. "Empire" and "Riot" are pretty terrible, and I have no idea why they copied and pasted *Hate Me*'s acoustic closer, "Let Me Be," but aside from that you've got some pretty solid post-hardcore-infused radio rock here. "Broken Heart," "Do You Love Me," and "Digging My Own Grave" are certified bangers. Here's hoping this catches on, and ETF salvage their dying career. (if you didn't think they stagnated hard, you need a reality check. their tour last year was a co-headliner with fucking Nonpoint.)

The album previews leaked, this is going to be rone of the band's best albums. What an runexpected treat, they released the worst rsongs as singles.rEdit: definitely one of my favorite albums of rthe year, "If Only" is a 5/5 track.

This is a longer slower part 2.0 of the Hate Me album. It's light & still very generic. It sounds more like a mix of early 2000's punk & emo music. It's not heavy at all. A totally different direction from their older albums.

Being honest, i hate everything that Escape the Fate has done since "Dying Is Your Latest Fashion", saved by one or another song that is no more than just "ok". Always when i listen to an entire record from this band, it seems like i lose 50 minutes of my day looking at the wall. The songs of these guys do not arouse any feeling inside me, neither of hate nor of contempt. Even so, i repeat that i detest this band that has been able to release songs so soulless for 12 years that it's hilarious... and maybe that's the only feeling i can arouse inside me in the future.

The fact that this band somehow made 5 albums after Ronnie is a commendable but otherwise unexplainable feat. They weren't particularly good with him, but it's the only reason they were ever relevant and somehow they've still made albums for a decade off of the memory of "that one catchy song i heard 10 years ago with a different vocalist" bravo!
