every hardcore band now a days is trying to be beautiful and im sorry, that is not hardcore at all. minor threat wasnt like hey lets get away from pop culture by making these hc songs but lets put a poppy edge to it.

I loved this album. Many will say that they're following a formula, but there's a sincerity in their songs that I just can't help but respect.

The vocalist's scream is a clearer in this album, rather than the "cookie monster"-ish grunts in For What It's Worth. The album also had a lot of good heavy parts, filled with touchy lyrics and raw power. I like driving force, the first track, and the spoken interlude.
