yea mild powerage it'll keep you alive if you conserve it but cant do too much with this

This album...is kind of weird to rate, as it has my favorite ACDC song of all time on it. But the rest of the album doesn't compare to that one song, to me...rMy favorites off this album are Kicked In The Teeth and Sin City, with Rock And Roll Damnation being the ultimate AC/DC song and my personal favorite.

Powerage is a strange one in the AC/DC collection. Personally it's right up there for me as one of the band's better albums, yet it continually draws criticism from many AC/DC fans. Riff Raff is just a cracking song - the main riff is as catchy, bluesy and rockin' as it gets and Bon's vocals are as piercing as ever. Sin City is another highlight, with the memorable yet mellow hook "I'm going down... To Sin City" prominent.
Powerage isn't all brazen attitude and power, with a more tempered sound and several slower songs. While this is effective in distinguishing it in the AC/DC catalogue, some of the momentum is lost at times, and the energy doesn't carry throughout the album like on T.N.T. or Highway To Hell. Nonetheless Powerage is a solid record with some timeless AC/DC classics and one of the band's best Bon Scott-era releases.

AC/DC is my all-time favourite band and with Powerage they released their second of 4 near-perfect albums in a row starting with LTBR and ending with BIB. Containing some of their best and wildest lyrics both Sin City and What's Next to the Moon, combined with such fantastic riffs in Riff Raff and Rock 'N' Roll Damnation, this ends up as the magnum opus in a timeless career.

Powerage is perhaps one of the most underrated albums by AC/DC. "Riff Raff" is now among my favorites of AC/DC and Rock n' Roll Damnation is really growing up on me. This album also features some of the most diverse drumming in any of the AC/DC albums. However, the ending, though quite good, was not on par with the beginning and the middle of the album.

This is a very underrated album. The band is becoming more melodic as albums go by and sacrifice fast tempos for lower speeds in order to become more rock n roll. It has many catchy songs and some very good performances. There is no stand out track but are all equally good. Recommendations: "Rock n Roll Damnation", "Riff Raff", "Sin City", "Gone Shootin'"

How does this one duck under the radar of attention? 'Rock n Roll Damnation', 'Down Payment Blues', 'Riff Raff', 'What's Next To The Moon', all top AC/DC songs, with a development of lyric writing better than 'Let There Be Rock' and even 'High Voltage'. The production is better than any preceding AC/DC album, with the sound gritty, downtown and menacing yet clean, colourful and bluesy.

Powerage is an underrated album in AC/DC's catalogue. It's much more experimental than the bands other albums. It is different in terms of, the songwriting, the riffs, and everything but does that make it any less great? Why no! Powerage is a superb album, aNd one of ACDCs best. A gem.
