What baffles me about this is the fact that it both works as a companion piece to the movie, and as a standalone beautiful soundtrack.

A faithful, inspired score to the original film from Vangelis. It doesn't sound or feel like a quick, cynical attempt to just be similar for nostalgic; instead, it's a gorgeous, haunting, and somber continuation of that sound. Although, I wish Johann Johannsson's version of the score could be heard for the world to hear.
