An unexpectedly solid solo album by Warrel Dane. I must confess I expected an average album from Dane without the rest of Nevermore backing him up, but this record has far exceeded my expectations. His vocals are as good as they've ever been and while admittedly not every song stands out equally, I did fail to find a weak link in the tracklist. This album was a welcome positive surprise for me. Highlights for me were "Messenger", "Brother" and "Equilibrium" - do recommend to any Nevermore fan, it will be worth your while.
