It takes a lot for me to hate an album as much as "The Best Secrets Are Kept". Only one other album warrants as low a score as I think Louis XIV get ("Get Born" by Jet). To be plainly honest, Louis XIV is the epitome of the word turd. Their music is annoying, and the vocals are horrible. This easily is the single worst album ever made.

I'm not going to say this album is fantastic, truth be told, there's a couple tracks I just don't care for. That's not even getting into the number of influences evident; David Bowie would probably be rolling in his grave, if he were actually dead. But honestly, while it's all well and good that you've decided to share your opinion, you might've mulled over it a bit before you hit that "Submit" button. A few tracks that are worth mention are "Illegal Tender," and "A Letter To Dominique". I'm not going to go into any real detail, just that they are worth checking out. As for all the negative reviews out there: you might try listening to a album more than once before posting a review. Hell, you might even consider listening past the second track! ^.^ -Mrow

I bought this album because Finding Out True Love is Blind was a pretty catchy song, and I figured this band would have a couple songs that would be at that level. Needless to say based on my rating, I was severely disappointed. The two or three beats played over and over again to the same themes get old very fast. The overtly sexual lyrics in every song have no depth, and the nasaly vocals are anything but appealing. The only positive thing about this album is that it has one beat that will make you dance a little the first few times you hear it. Don't waste your money.
