A fantastic album, perfectly blending tech, thrash, prog and ambient. The harsh vocals sound like a bit of a Meshuggah clone, but clean vocals are very emotional and fairly unique-sounding. There are sections in each song that construct complex, multi-layered soundscapes. The band play with atmospheres and time signatures, but successfully maintain an overall sense of cohesion. You can tell that there is real passion and artistic depth behind the music. A well deserved 'Superb' rating. This band is leaps and bounds ahead of most other 'djent' bands. Will be very interested to see what these guys do in the future.

Awesome album. Though I rated it the lowest of the three Textures albums that I own, I owe my love for the band to this album; or more specifically to the single "Awake". Nevertheless, this is not an album anyone should miss out on. It's Textures overall heaviest release, and my personal favourite of theirs for vocals.

Bumped up to superb. This is a perfect mix of Tech, aggression and is extremely listenable.

Tried to like this album. Really did but it was just so boring. Every song sounds the same which is truly disappointing considering the range of the lead singer. Most of the songs on here need to be shortened by at least a minute and a half to make them listenable. I'm still a Textures fan and am definitely looking forward to the new album but Silhouettes sucks.

Not the spinny really really fast tech death metal, more like the well constructive song based tech death metal. Both types are good but fewer bands make technicality this accessible and varied. Reminds me of Accelerated Evolution (Devin Townsend) quite a bit.
