The truth is, you only get out of Love Ire & Song what you put in. If you haven't had a quarter-life crisis, been lost in a long-distance love, been disgusted with the cool kids or lost someone close to you, there's a chance that these songs might not mean much to you. On his masterpiece Frank Turner, probably punk rocks greatest poet, churns out anthem after anthem. The music is amazingly diverse and fun but it is the lyrics- sometimes upbeat, sometimes melancholy, always quotably- that truly make this album a classic.
