Alt prog that's played with a lot of flair, but it all starts to sound the same so damn quick. They need just a little more differentiation between the songs. Despite this, though, the album is definitely still great. It just needs time to grow on you.

It's quite a safe album, but that also becomes its own detriment in a way. Things start to sound quite stale nearing the middle of the record and there's not a whole lot of interesting musical ideas to make up for it. The vocalist still can hit the notes, but it's unfortunate that there aren't any harsher vocals considering the tone of the album appears darker. A little diversity among how each song sounds next to one another would've been better. I think Claire Q. nailed it in the review. Most of these songs are better off isolated and work as their own. Regardless, the content on this album still holds up through a couple more spins and favorites of mine here are "Float On", "Just Shy", and "Cherry Lemon".

"We Will All Be Gone" seems much more a new album of any other band, less from Good Tiger. Lack of identity and scarcity of ideas is clear here. If someone cheated me saying that Dance Gavin Dance had released a new album and i listened to this, I would think about the time that was theirs.
