Absurdly fast, absurdly technical and absurdly relentless, this is technical death metal taken to a certain,
kind of predictable, extreme. That said, it's also absurdly tedious and absurdly hard to remember - every
song might as well be another. Origin put it all on display here, and there's just enough for it to be great -
but also flawed.

some good songwriting but a genre that throws riffs to the wayside in favour of constant trigger drumming and cheap monotone growling mixed with in-pain screams is never going to be top tier

No bullshit, no punches pulled, just balls to the walls technical death metal. This has been stated ad nauseam but Antithesis is fast. Like, really fast. It's everything tech-death should be and 11 years on it still holds up as a near classic in the genre.

Holy fuck this is fast. The hyperspeed technicality makes this album amazing, just what you'd want out of the fastest tech death possible. The closer, Antithesis, turns down the brutality a notch that really isn't the best pick to close out the album.

First of all, my favorite music genre is Death Metal, specially Technical Death Metal. I was never a big fan of Origin`s music, however, when I heard about heir new album, I gave it a listen. Or maybe, I tried to give it a listen...this album so so monotone & boring, and has NOTHING to do with Technical Death Metal (in this case, I mean REAL Technical Death Metal, like - Obscura, Spawn Of Possession, Necrophagist...)
This is 100% Brutality, with 1 type of Arpeggio going over & over again, wich after lots of years listening to Death Metal, I found it quite boring. Simple rhythm sections, blast-beats & double bass pedals always over 200 bpm...It is all very well played, but the originality is 0.
Only for Extreme Metal fans, who don`t mind hearing 10 songs that sound like 1. + another big minus was the video clip for the song "Finite".
