Unlike their full-length, this eponymous EP knows what it is: fun metalcore with a campy experimental tinge throughout. It never tries to take itself too seriously, and sometimes that's what you need.

Less musical ISMFOF. I'd actually say their song structures are cool for their complete disregard of flow and proportion, nay, their actual attempt to destroy them, is undoubtedly radical but each section would have to be good in its own right and well, it's just third-rate mathcore most of the time. Cleans are good at least.

Much of what this band dabbles with over the course of this EP has been what previous acts did earlier, yet they ended up with more interesting results. Krysta Cameron is both Iwrestledabearonce's strong AND weak point; she has a beautiful singing voice underneath those menacing growls, yet it's something that avant-garde listeners find easily predictable.

There's enough going on in each track to keep you hooked but not too much to make it sound overstuffed. It does come off as really gimmicky though.

By far one of my most favourite and beloved bands, even though Krysta is kind of a dick. This is their best release too IMO.

Sure, it's got "mallcore" written all over it. Sure, throwing 7 different genres into one song isn't new or difficult. And sure, Krysta's voice can be pretty grating sometimes. But overall, it's pretty good. Goofy self-deprecation, occasionally awesome songs, and enough sense to be short, sweet, and to the point. Not bad. Not bad at all.

Again, haphazard juxtaposition of genres isn't exciting, new, or innovative; it's not that hard and it leads to boring, meandrous releases.

Amazing band. Excellent vocals, made more awesome by the fact that it is a woman. I saw them a few times when they were starting out, here in Shreveport. They sound as good live as they do on the album. Also, Krysta is very, very hot. Always a plus.
