A couple of tracks are DOA, but there are also a few tracks I can't seem to take of repeat. Magnetic Field is galactic spaciness at its catchy best with an asteroid belt of melancholy expanding within. Almost had me is vintage Lights through and through. This chick has a gift for melody.

Lights delivers a collection of catchy pop songs that are fun but lack any kind of serious identity.

This album has a nice variety of songs that range from pop to alternative and is catchy as hell. Lights' vocals are the best they have ever been and every song has nice sonic textures and layers that keep the listener coming back. People who give this 1 or lower are definately tone deaf. Highlights: Skydiving, Almost Had Me, Morphine and Savage are amongst her best ever.

The closest I got to liking a single was Skydiving but since I've been really digging Siberia and
her debut recently, it is still clearly inferior to those. I want to be excited for this but I'm
afraid to give it a full spin
Edit: no bueno :/ love her red hair though

It?s not as genre bending as Siberia and sometimes gets lost in pleasant background music, but the many highlights take her electro-pop sound to new levels. Another very enjoyable album from Lights!

Lights' fourth record might be her most consistent yet. Lead single Giants is probably the worst song on the album, and it's average catchy pop at the absolute worst. The rest is exactly what you'd expect. Fun, upbeat... classic Lights. New Fears, Skydiving, and Kicks are the highlights. 3.5-4/5
