And on that day, every Taylor Swift fan on sputnikmusic.com collectively threw their merchandise
out the window, blotting out the sun and causing multiple automobile accidents in the process.
Cd's, ridiculously expensive records, body pillows, and more all littered the streets of suburbia.
Not since the solar eclipse has our land been enveloped by shadows to such a degree.
It's been years since I've seen the sun.
Ever since we sent our Taylor Swift merchandise into space and blotted out our source of light and
warmth, Earth has been plunged into a state of enternal winter. Every so often, you'll see a cd
fall from orbit but the Taylor Swift Protection Agency disposes of these objects with the utmost
I miss it. I miss the bright blue skies. I miss wearing shorts instead of my usual parka. The
children growing up in post-apocaswiftic times. I pity and envy them. For they know not of Taylor

That's the best early 2000s hardcore font I've ever seen. I think the album title needs to be changed to "xxReputationxx"

I think the New York Times review is pretty spot on in this case. She does an admirable job of fusing other elements of pop to her signature sound. It's also a deeper album than one might suspect from the released singles. "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things" has a girl group bounce, "New Year's Day" is a beautiful acoustic ballad, and "Don't Blame Me" as a sparkling R&B groove. Her voice is a bit limited on the album, and I was wishing for more songs like the more Taylor-like "Getaway Car," but overall the album is another big success for Taylor.

Premature 1 until release, where this will most likely remain as one of the worst albums of the decade

It's got a nice pop sound to it, but it lacks the clever songwriting that she's had in the past.

1989 showed a confident, self-assured Taylor Swift ready to take over the world. And take over the world she did. Of course, that wasn't without its consequences, as we all know.
On reputation, Swift has had her confidence shaken, and she's lashing out. The defensive attitude shows itself everywhere, from the confrontational lyrics and song titles (Look What You Made Me Do, Call it What You Want) to the loud, but introverted and closed-off music. The EDM/trap influenced music is awkward at best, ill-fitting with a lot of Swift's lyrics. At worst, it makes her come off as entirely forced and unconvincing, evidenced by Ready for It and End Game's unfortunate rapping, and LWYMMD, which is one of Swift's worst tracks.
Far better results come from Swift reconnecting with her old muse (love) and adapting it to her new sound. Gorgeous has music that perfectly matches its playful lyrics, Delicate carefully navigates that introductory part of a relationship with a fantastic chorus, and Call it What You Want finds Taylor finding that confidence and honesty that made her so likeable on 1989.
It's a mixed bag, as a pop album with 15 tracks is inevitably going to be, but reputation isn't too bogged down by its worst moments (and those moments are pretty damned bad). And maybe after getting all of this out of her system, Swift will be ready to take on the world again.

Let's be honest, Reputation was quite possibly the most unanticipated album of this year. After rthe excellent 1989, I was ready for a complete disaster after having heard the first single, "Look rWhat You Made Me Do." While that is still a musical atrocity, Reputation actually exceeds rexpectations. "Delicate" is one of the best songs she's written this side of Speak Now. "Dancing rWith Our Hands Tied" has a fantastic chorus, and even "Gorgeous" has grown a little. The album rdoes go way off track at times, especially with "End Game" and the aforementioned "LWYMMD." "So It rGoes" is also one of the blandest songs she's ever written. It's a bloated mess but, dare I say, rit's quite enjoyable to hear those few treasures that pop up every now and then.

I'm incredibly happy that my rating brought down the average for this album. It's not often that an album gives me that kinda joy.

a pack of so-so catchy electropop / some vibes seem edgy but come with weak dynamic / unremarkable instruments for electropop, too airy ambient, and too ordinary elements

These singles and most likely the rest of this record will further prove that Taylor
presents herself as an entitled cunt. I'm going to try to put myself through what I'm
going to assume to be a dumpster fire of an album.

I love Kanye West but I'm rooting for Taylor Swift in this feud. Album dropping on Yeezy's mother's death is epic. #TeamTaylor
