A set of stirring anthems about living through the worst and hoping for the best set to compact, dense rock 'n roll. So pretty much the 9/11 concept album you would expect from Bruce Springsteen.

The Boss saw the 9/11 attacks hit almost on his New Jersey doorstep. A place that he'd romanticised for years in his songs and stories and he felt compelled to write an understanding album. He reunited the E Street band and went about recording one of his best in years. The title track, 'Lonesome Day', 'Into the Fire', 'Nothing Man', 'You're Missing', 'Mary's Place' and 'My City of Ruins' are amongst my favourites here. The man can do no wrong

This is easily one of Bruce's best albums (after Born To Run and Nebraska). Every single song is a classic from the lightweight Waiting On A Sunny Day to the intense Paradise (which tells the story of a young suicide bomber).

Bruce Springsteen has gotten older over the years, but in my opinion, better. The title track of this album is nothing short of a masterpiece. These songs really make you want to sing along.
