Just released a couple of days early, its pretty fucking great. Not Anymore is a particular highlight and The Background World takes an interesting twist from the usual NIN stuff.

Less Than is the standout here. The others aren't bad, but to me great Nine Inch Nails is catchy as fuck and the final 4 songs just aren't.

Maybe this will grow on me, but after the first listen I'm not all that impressed. I loved Not the Actual Events, and I was hoping this would continue that sound instead of sounding like a bunch of b-sides or interludes from The Fragile. Not Anymore and This Isn't the Place are great tracks though.

On par with NTAE, which already was excellent. From the atmospheric drab "The Lovers" to the angry "Not Anymore" the EP goes in plenty of surprising directions given its short run time. The only fault comes in the last 7 minutes of the monster "The Background World" which repeat the same loop over and over (52 times) just adding a tap of distortion with every redo. This gets repetitive fast and serves as a sore spot on an otherwise excellent EP.
