Decent. I really wanted to enjoy this album--as I've heard that Muse is unbelievable live. But poor production in some key spots and a certain lack of emotion in others drags the album down.

As a CD, "H.A.A.R.P." holds its own but does not shine in the areas of mixing or tone quality (the crowd is boosted beyond what is necessary, and the bass is nearly lost in the equation), however, the DVD makes up for it by providing ample concert coverage. Muse is one of my very favorites, mainly because they kick major ass live. Although the CD doesn't sound top notch, it is a worthy addition to any Muse fans' collection. Pick 'er up

A solid live album. Only beef is that they didn't cram a few more songs onto the cd portion but other than that an exciting live turn out from Muse. A good disc/dvd combo.

The mixing on this album is horrendous. I think Muse should abandon Rich Costey and just produce everything themselves instead. The DVD is totally unbalanced and treble-boosted to the point where it gets annoying. A bass-driven band like Muse, especially with Matt's signature falsetto, NEEDS a good bass or else everything just sounds a bit annoying.
They also left out Citizen Erased, which is a Muse classic, but that's just a personal preference.
A spectacular thing to watch nonetheless, with impressive shots and good energy from the crowd.

For me, the album shows its brilliance on the DVD itself. There is a reason Muse was called the best live band. The music sounds fantastic, the crowd interaction actually heightens the album instead of bringing it down like most live albums. The band loves playing their music, and you can tell when you watch them. The intros and variations in the songs give each of them a unique feel, even though you have heard the songs so many times to begin with.
This is a collection of some of the best song Muse have created, and the performance is spot on with the studio versions, if not better. My only complaint is that not all the songs on the dvd made it to the cd, but there is space requirements, and they both come together for the price of a normal cd, so i really should not complain.

Muse's a refference in shows...they can fit in the spectacle category. So, it ought to be good!
