5.0 classic | 7997 | January 8th 10 | I don’t know what the d in d-beat means but judging by these guys I would guess something like DESTROY. The mix of power chords with “regular” chords creates the basic crushing sound. The only complaint I have with this album is the drums. It sounds like he only plays slight variations on the same beat throughout the album.

3.5 great | Ossacip Olbap | February 29th 24 | maxed out motorhead with lindberg sounding good for once, tho it gets somewhat ennuous after the first 3 tracks until the phantom finisher

4.0 excellent | Gary STAFF | November 30th 23 | Damn, I've never thought that D-beat can be this good. I love the death metal-ish guitars, and the super simple d-beat drumming with lots of great fills. This record is probably the best in its league.

4.0 excellent | zaruyache | November 8th 18 | I love this kind of straight fist-pumping, Motorhead-bred d-beat hardcore stuff. Uff.

4.5 superb | Jared Floryan | November 30th 14 | Live the Storm really... well, it lives up to the name said album was given; terrible joke, I know. The Swedish d-beat band Disfear bring forth the nastiest riffs and some of frontman Tomas Lindberg's most gnarliest screams, resulting in a cacophony of asphalt-scented ruthlessness that's barely without the enjoyability factor. At 35 minutes, there's nothing on this record which really weighs down the compositions, and Kurt Ballou's top-notch production skills shine in a few areas.

4.5 superb | halloway | August 19th 08 | To my recollection, it's the first non-Zeke album that utilizes all of the best elements of punk - speed, grittiness, gang vocals, and badass pick slides ;) But seriously, this album is quality through and throughout, and everything is LOUD!!! It's as if Motorhead took steroids and started hanging out in seedy alleyways. Perfect for thrash and punk fans, maybe too simple for prog-heads, and probably too difficult for the average listener to get past the dominating vocal presence and the sheer loudness of everything.
