Surely among the best fusion I've heard. Every instrument goes bonkers, and the songwriting doesn't suffer anywhere. The addition of a guitar adds a whole new layer of intricacy and technical possibilities to the music. Chick utilizes this to harmonise with the guitar as well as swap off leads. Additionally Clarke goes ham on the bass in the background, and now is less bound to just backing the piano with the new guitar. Amazing.

flawless album. IMO the pinnacle of jazz-rock, technically accomplished yet relatively accesible. Plus the rythym section is the most propulsive i've ever heard.
