Why couldn't they have been like this on previous albums? Still unoriginal, but this is leagues better than anything else they've done.

In a day when it seems that so many rock bands get progressively softer it's so refreshing to get an album that is actually heavier than previous records. Pain is less melodic than past efforts but the more staccato feel seems to work better for them. It's not a perfect album but it's a fantastic step in the right direction.

This stuff is killer! Far better than I expected. I actually checked this album out after I've seen this band perform live last year and I must say I'm impressed. Sure, the music is not innovative at all but the songwriting and especially the vocal performance is on point. Great album.

What happened to the wholesome alt. rock band that released those previous albums? They've gone the way of New Years Day by dropping the safe alternative rock for a heavier, shock-rock, kind of style. Now they remind me more of bands such as New Years Day, Korn, and In This Moment.
