Still need to give it more spins, but overall, I think it's an incredibly solid record with plenty of interesting ideas and a great sense of musicianship.

horribly disappointing - such a lukewarm effort. Packs pretty much no punch - super floaty. The emotion of Heaven and Earth is basically nowhere to be found...

The way Arcane Roots re-invented themselves seems to be polarising but I think this is by far
their best work. First time I heard Curtains as a single blew my mind. And the production is
insane!
Almost perfect if not for a couple of slight fillers (Solemn, Fireflies), though the rest of
the album is worthy of a 5 rating.

For me it's not even close to the greatness of Blood & Chemistry. It's not the matter of heaviness, it just never feels as inspired, free and unpredictable, especially in terms of vocal delivery. It's really simplier. Almost every song here follows the same scenario: build-up or a few -> culmination with riffs and screams -> quiet ambient outro. And the new drummer as for me is really a lot less creative than the previous one. I do like the album though, but it's a one-off ride for me. I admit that despite repetitiveness they are more mature here compositionally, than earlier, and they seriously expanded their sound with synths and other electronics, but it just doesn't work for me.
