| 1.5 very poor | DoofusWainwright | May 27th 17 | Listening to this sounds painful but nowhere near as painful as it sounds for our Glenn - dude, do
you still enjoy singing because it sounds like you've lost your hearing and half your teeth. Bro.

| 2.0 poor | cjbizzlebizzle | August 7th 17 | Black Laden Crown stands in the Danzig area of metal with a blend of Heavy Metal, Hard Blues Rock and some DOom but one word that sums up the entire album, flat. Everything about the album is gloomy, not in a intentional or positive way, and lull from the production to the riffs to Glenn's worn out vocals. At times it is borderline hard to listen to Mr. Danzig struggle to keep up and sing like hid old self, who was once one of the most energetic and talented frontmen in this side of metal. Despite the flatness, this is not the worst metal album of the year because at times some of the tracks are reminiscent of what Danzig was once the king of. In the end you will forget this entirely and just want to revisit those prime, early Danzig albums.

| 2.5 average | Voivod STAFF | May 27th 17 | This could be good at least, but unfortunately, it isn't. Some rhetorical queries; could it be that the gloomy sound does not fully support the music or conceal the readily perceivable deficiencies of the album? Could it be that Danzig's voice, despite its enhanced low-end pitch with age, is also "tired" most of the time or is it the blatant laziness/blandness of most arrangements? It kills me to write this, but Danzig anno 2017 sound like a vintage, yet worn out Camaro running on gas fumes. Favorite songs: Devil on Hwy 9 kind of stands out...

| 4.0 excellent | ArcticTemper | July 12th 23 | (One Day Later) For an unfortunately-likely final release, it respectfully glides to a finish rather than risk tripping at the last hurdle while celebrating with some kind of experimental structure or production. Perfectly fine for a band with its masterpieces and experiments behind it. Melodic and listenable as ever, I will replay this many times.

| 2.0 poor | zaruyache | May 28th 17 | This sounds like a tired old rocker doing bad karaoke to some generic metal backing tracks. The only thing it's missing is the half-hearted cheering from the crowd.
