No Grave But the Sea is a fun listen but does not feature the necessary level of songwriting in order to warrant repeated listens or a significant lifetime value. Instrumentally, it sounds like a mix between Running Wild and Skyclad with an emphasis on anthemic choruses and catchy melodies. Overall, it might be a great choice for a symposium which is not a bad thing at all.

Not a perfect album, as I think the second half is way inferior to the first one, but it's still really solid with a few (now) iconic songs of the band. Best songs: To The End of The World, Mexico, No Grave But The Sea, Treasure Island, Alestorm, Bar Und Imbiss, Fucked With An Anchor.

I never took Alestorm seriously until I heard this album. The lyrics may still be a joke, but the band now writes a legitimate power/folk metal songs. This is just too fun and catchy to hate.
