On this album Chilly and Jarvis take the phrase "If these walls could talk" and apply it to a room in LA's Chateau Marmont. Each of these songs tells one story that happened in room 29 . . . Funny story about this album. After it was finished they realized the melody of "Tearjerker" was lifted from a Ryuichi Sakamoto song, so they had to give him credit and royalties . . . The hotel theme is interesting, but this is all about Jarvis' baritone whispering over Sakamoto-esque piano melodies... and really, isn't that enough?
