This is really poor. Other than big for your boots there isn't much else here. Skepta's album is much better

Eh. Compared to Skepta's Konnichiwa released the same year, this has got less meat in a longer runtime. It's kinda all over the place, and I feel he had tons of ideas but he didn't manage to make either of these ideas shine. The bangers are cool but do not hit as hard as, eh, Konnichiwa, and the more laidback tracks go from passable to almost annoying. However I'm a sucker for this badass English/Jamaican accent so while it did not succeed at what it was attempting, it's not an unpleasant record.

most of the bangers on here are dope but they aren't enough to make for the more laid back tracks, which are too sappy and shallow to be remotely interesting. he's not that great of a rapper either, imo. 2.5

The Grime album that will change the game. Maybe not musically the strongest album in the "genre" but in terms of a moment in history that affects pop culture on a level no other grime artist has, this is it. Stormzy is about to take a brick to the glass ceiling and anything is possible. Grime's Sex Pistols moment, when a youth movement becomes a national and international mainstream cultural phenomenon.
