Timeless is a near 2 hours trip into a music that seems to be created by someone who doesn't live on Earth. While Goldie is alternating between mind-blowing and furious moment, he's painting a surrealistic world as complex as his beats and as saturated as his bass. This unique piece of work will fascinate anyone that would be courageous enough to immerse himself in it. Even if it can sometimes sound a bit old, this is probably one of the earliest Drums & Bass classic, and I don't think there's two records like this one.

While bordering on pretentiousness with its length and grandiosity 'Timeless' nonetheless manages to be excellent throughout its 2 hour length. Goldie's insistent rhythms are given room to breath in the dreamy ambience that bathes this record, the end result being a drum & bass album that relaxes as much as it energises.

If being timeless is what Clifford Price was aiming for with his debut, then he just may have attained it. What is now seen as a groundbreaking drum and bass release, Timeless was one of the first records ever to mix the genres trademark hard-hitting breakbeats and deep bass lines with atmospheric strings and synths, along with a slew of angelical female vocals. The album gets off to an incredible start with the title track, which is one of the best electronic tracks I've ever had the pleasure of hearing. The entire first half of this record is absolute can't-miss material, the best of it being on another wonderful track in "Sea Of Tears", and on the lethal "Jah, The Seventh Seal". Though the second half of the record does stray a bit from the perfect path set by the first half, there are fantastic moments here as well with "A Sense Of Rage", "Still Life", and "You & Me". It's nearly two hours long, so there will be some time and patience needed to digest everything that appears on this album. However, I believe it is well worth it, and though I can't quite say it's a 5 for me, it's the closest it can possibly be without being one. If you call yourself a fan of drum and bass, jungle, or electronic music in general, make sure you give this beast of an album a well-deserved listen.

If there were ever to be a single soundtrack for the ocean along with it's various creatures and atmospheres, this album by Goldie would have to be it. The album features not only gorgeous, down-to-earth melodies but also some snazzy diva vocals from various females. Goldie (to be believed) has a strong connection with the ocean (alongside me), and that is reflected within this album. Sounds of gracious seagulls, ocean swishes, and morningrise beach atmospheres pop up one right after another with this album, and that is the ultimate reason why this album is so beautiful. Rhythmic wise, it's what you could have asked for with DnB; furious, and although flamboyant, very energetic and appropriate. Timeless ultimately never suffers from a drawback, thus yielding this into be a quintessential beach album as well as Goldie's most classifiable album.
