This is better than A Mind On A Ship... and becoming one of my fav albums ever. This is how hip-hop is made; with perfectly placed sampling.

This isn't as good as A Mind on a Ship Through Time, but it doesn't fall far behind. K-Murdock's atmospheric, anti-electronic, fantasy production backing MC Raw Poetic's lyrics that discuss refreshing topics typically not seen in hip-hop. With tales of love, life, and hip-hop flowing along perfectly with the pretty instrumentals, the environment in surreal and natural. 4.3/5

Long story short, I don't like hip-hop much at all. I tried, maybe not hard enough, but I did. I
have a few groups I can get into (RTJ, Death Grips) but I can never just listen to hip-hop
excessively and have a good time. This album is the number one exception to that rule and I think
that should say something.
edit: almost a decade later and i still dont fuck with much hip hop but def more than before.
this still reigns supreme though, the guitar here is fucking tasty, samples are genius, and hooks
are about as good as they get. and even with all that going for it, the real star is just the
immaculate flow of Raw Poetic

Panacea is, in my opinion, the most underrated hip-hop group. Ink Is My Drink was one of the first albums I heard after a long absence of listening to hip-hop. The album starts strong and doesn't falter all the way to the finish. Raw Poetic has one of the greatest voices in hip-hop and some of the best lyrics I have heard. The beats and production are perfect. If you have not heard this album, listen to it now and be amazed.
