Still one of my favourite meloblack albums, and the way how much I find this an "easy listening" says a lot. The clean vocals are easily the most memorable component, and the way they insterted them into their sound is really original, and has an oddly "uplifting" feel time to time, meanwhile the harsh vocals and the more sinister (yet really heavy metal-ish) riffs bring a certain elegant vibe and atmosphere into the picture - and in my opinion, this makes it a very memorable, pleasant album, a rare kind of modern black metal release which really ages well.

Have to leave a soundoff on my 2017 AOTY. The layered vocals instantly elevate this above most other melodic black metal. The interesting song writing and heavybutclean production makes it so easy to listen to and return to

For some aging hardcore heads, they sure do present quite the rippin' metal mixture -- pretty blackened through-n-through, but they whip up choice cleans and soaring harmonies as handily as the ol dense-n-dirty snarl&thrash; oft in the same song. A propensity for heavy metal classicism also protrudes, hence the mosh-prone stomp riffs and lengthy motorcycle-on-the-highway guitar solos that shred right on through the fade-out.

Surprisingly dynamic batch of black/thrash metal, the band make a valiant effort to keep the music from falling into a rut, and while it can definitely slog along and become a bit repetitive, there's an undeniable amount of promise and variety here.
