Brian once again proves himself as the greatest embodiment of artistic nuance since some other faker faked their way into a load of plastic fakery because they had nothing better to do than prove themselves better than the failed tabloid hack they once were which in itself pales into comparison to the shame of being that nerdy goit from Fred Savages Wonder Years the sister of whom was a stunner. Even Kevin's bit of stuff was alright but how old was she? 13. Outrageous. Having said that Brian is still bitter because the only way he got that gig was by sucking off Dan Lauria which to this day remains the most m/ thing 'ol Brian has ever done.

UPDATE: Manson did a lot of drugs, passed out, forgot to release album on Valentines Day as he planned, is now hiding in his basement whilst Universal Music representatives call his name in hopes of coaxing him out so they get paid this week

Manson has stagnated as an artist. It's not unlistenable, but a lot of the lyrics are cringeworthy, like something you'd find in a high schooler's diary. His persona will need to evolve, and he'll need to find some new material to draw on for inspiration, if he hopes to have any staying power,

I think the worst part of this is the fact that it feels like 2 fantastic records battling each other. Its an identity crisis in music form, and does not flow at all or produce any sort of aesthetic coherency. On one hand you have something that shockingly captures the old Industrial Metal sound with a breath of much needed energy and style, and on the other hand you have a really classy, brooding gothic slash post punk style affair with massive hooks and great melody and atmosphere. They don?t work together. The Pale Emperor is one of Mansons best because its an experience that feels introspective and has a unique and endearing atmosphere to it. Its a singular experience and every track compliments the last. This was a major misstep because the last one was so fantastic

I was expecting this to be really bad and to reveal that The Pale Emperor was just a stroke of luck. But Heaven Upside Down is pretty good and contains everything good Manson can do, from posy aggressive hate to emotional corny love, from slightly industrial metal to punk rock poppy pop.
