This ten-minute split EP from USBM/folk metal giants Agalloch and a oft-overlooked, yet very quality contemporaries Nest is a bit underwhelming in the pantheon of both bands' work. That isn't to say either of these songs are bad; Agalloch's is a lovely, atmospheric neofolk piece, but it isn't anything you haven't already heard from them. Nests side is quite good, but some unfortunately cheesy vocals kind of ruin the immersion a bit, casting a pall on the seriousness of the track. They're both very nice, easy listens, and both of these bands could do that in their sleep. In a way, it sounds like they did.
