3.5 great | Gene Gol-Jonsson CONTRIBUTOR | March 13th 24 | Paak and Knxwledge are a match made in swagger heaven, cruising their respective brands of smoothness with ease and chutzpah beyond a mortal man's capabilities. That comes often at a cost of individual track's standing out, but as a full album it certainly plays some magic.

3.5 great | Erwann S. STAFF | October 10th 23 | Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge associate to deliver a collection of sweet lil soul lullabies that too often suffer from a too short runtime - and thus a lack of development. Production-wise this is full of earworms though.

3.5 great | Alabaster Jones | October 24th 16 | One of the more consistently great beatsmiths in the underground, Knxwledge is a dependable guy that has a way with boom-bap drum work and soulful samples that tastefully bring back vibes of collectives like Soulquarians. Who better to complement him, then, than one of neo-soul's brightest up-and-comers in Anderson .Paak? Together, as NxWorries, they create a soulful, sexy journey through some of the most laid-back R&B you'll hear all year. Knxwledge does excellently, as expected (the production on "Wngs" is some of the best of the year), and .Paak does quite well too. The knock on it is that the tone really does not change at all, and while that isn't too much of a problem, it's compounded when there isn't really a standout track (besides the aforementioned "Wngs"), leading to a lot of it bleeding into each other. That said, it's still easy to listen to, pretty enjoyable to hear, and no track is below average by any means. Truly, Yes Lawd! is the first step in what may potentially be a phenomenal collaboration.

4.0 excellent | dihstyle69 | October 17th 16 | really nice blend of hip hop and r&b, much better than their last collaborative effort. there's a good dynamic as far as the sound goes that never allows the project to become boring. anderson paak further solidifies himself as one of the most interesting r&b artists working nowadays. 4-
