Good OSDM record. A lot of focus on riffs, and in my opinion repeating them far beyond the point of them becoming tiresome. However the riffs themselves are good, and when the guitarists decide to whip out their harmonic minor scales and put in emotional shredding the album really shows its potential.

Cause of Death is another solid album from Obituary that yet again fails to have any standout tracks.

Difficult to choose between Cause Of Death and their debut. In my opinion both are classic DM stuff but let's say this is slightly more mature. My favourite songs here are Infected, Circle of the Tyrants (Celtic Frost Cover) and specially Chopped In Half. Classic Death Metal
