after first listen .... biggest dissapointing in a years...
This album is more misery than splendor

Again this has some really good bits, but they struggle to keep their full-length efforts consistent. Some of the tracks show clipping. displaying a wonderful dark, industrial and oppressive flavour of their style when it's well executed. 3, 12 and especially 8 are jams that display that. On the other hand, some of the tracks here are just completely out of place - 2 feels like a stylistic exercise more than an actual song, and what on earth is even 13. Other tracks that are could would be 5 which is going to be a huge banger live, and the last third on 10 that is quite fat despite a boring early track. For the rest, it's either interludes or tracks that don't really work - 14 for example, which brings the noise textures back but isn't all that marking. Hoping the latest LP will be the one. 3.3

Stunning atmosphere and story. However, there are some weaker moments here and there, which makes this one weaker than the last one, but overall stronger than the eponym.

The album embodies a really deep story and atmosphere. Both the lyrics and production go together to show you how little hope there is left. Rating this is hard, since it's much more of a conceptual album, which is incomparable with most other clipping. material.

i've been a clipping fan for a while, with clppng being one of my favorite albums this decade, but i just can't get into this album. the concept is great, but it's an issue. it compromises both the rapper's work and the experience musically speaking. it might make up for a nice first listen, but there's nothing here that justifies a second, or multiple listens. there are some good moments, of course, but everything in between those moments become a slog to listen to after a while. 3+

Daveed's normally hype bars are limited by the fact that he has to tell a story, the beats are severely help back to focus on the story that Daveed is telling, and the fact that a majority of the songs are 2 minutes or less makes it for a listening experience that's pretty forgettable. Not bad, but not particularly great.

I admire the amount of artistry and experimentation here, but it doesn't deliver an
experience that I want to revisit. The amount of Daveed on this LP is shockingly small,
and his bars that he delivers are creatively held back because of the narrative that's on
the forefront of this entire project. In the end it's just not for me. I wanted something
at least slightly similar to midcity or CLPPNG, not something that barely even resembles
a hip-hop project.
