2.8 good | Voivod STAFF | November 6th 16 | Whenever HammerFall moniker is brought on the table, I remember them being a hot name in the late '90s, and rightfully so, due to their first two albums, which were something fresh for Euro-power metal. Their current offering, while it adheres well to the core attributes of the genre, it does nothing so as to translate the band's style amid the 2nd decade of the 21st century, in contrast to the conduct of newer outfits like Eternity's End or Wardrum. Rating would've been lower, if it weren't for Cans' robust vocal delivery.

3.0 good | Antonius | March 1st 17 | Hammerfall have never been my favourite band. However, I have always found their music pleasant and the majority of their catalogue enjoyable, despite having a repetitive formula. Build To Last its not a 'must' release but rather an average album to keep the machine working. Sharp guitars, catchy choruses, a couple of respectable ballads and a vigorous vocal performance by Can. Typical Hammerfall standards. Recommendations: "Hammer High", "The Sacred Vow", "Built To Last"
