Since it seems like ol boy is gonna keep FC3: The Epilogue on the shelf for a while, it would make sense that he release a little something to tide fans over until that day comes. That said, Big Buckz isn't short on great material and does more than tide us over; it reminds us why we're waiting. "Can't Trust A Soul" is a triumph in this regard, as Bibby sounds imposing and confident over an intimidating and empowering beat. Metro Boomin' and Southside make an appearance on "Never Go Against The Family", and the combo with Bibby sounds just as good as advertised. The release is a bit one-note, but that note is pitch perfect so to speak. Even if his long-awaited debut full-length isn't released this year, this tape is around to preview it. If this is any indication, it should be excellent.
