One of the year's most overlooked gems is a real treat in the neofolk genre. With a sound that rests comfortably between german dark folk (think Forseti, Nebelung) and a more neoclassical approach along the lines of Vali and Musk Ox, the debut by Woljager is sure to have a wide appeal. Due to the large helping of variety and melancholy, it's easily one of the strongest neofolk albums in recent years.
