3.5 great | TheWaqman | September 11th 09 | Very enjoyable CD. You can tell James Chapman (Maps) was heavily inspired by shoegaze music. Spacey and dreamy when you listen to the songs. I really enjoyed this CD and thought it should have won the mercury prize that year. Don't Fear, Elouise and To the Sky are the standout tracks.

3.5 great | chris21 | February 1st 08 | A good album for a alternative, upcoming band. This album was in the running for the mercury prize award and it's very creative and exciting . Although quite a poppy and sometimes unusual album, 'we can create' and the band as a whole provide an easy listening experience. James Chapman started this band when he only had a sixteen track recorder and now i think their latest release has shown how far he has come with his music. I think he's constructed his songwriting and the structures for indivual songs really well.
I saw them live at reading and all the abstract sounds from the album were somehow created on stage. My cousin is also in the live band as a drummer so in a sense im quite biased.
My only critism is that the album isn't very well put together a few different songs which don't really combine with each other. To the sky is definatley the stand out track on 'we can create'.
