4.0 excellent | chido | December 28th 12 | Aprhodite's Child most acclaimed work it's certainly one of the most unique albums of the seventies. All along the two Cd's the guys shows a lots of different ideas and styles. The album sounds really dated, but the variety of genres that displays is amazing, specially on the first Cd, where the band goes at full speed from one idea to another. A must hear for all the followers of seventies art-rock and prog-rock.(A final advice to spoil the picture: Of the second disc, avoid ''Infinity'' and ''All the seats were occupied'' at all costs. Don't say I didn't war you!)

3.5 great | Lani | January 12th 14 | The psychedlic music doesn't fit the subject matter at all (for me). I understand that the album is a product of its time, but when I hear stoner jams horrifying Biblical imagery isn't what comes to mind. Even so, there are a few gems on here, like the single "The Four Horseman", the chant "Seven Bowls" which I recognized due it being sampled by Enigma on their debut, the tense "Capture of the Beast" and "The Beast" which rocks a hard groove.

3.0 good | Friday13th | January 6th 14 | To me it falls somewhere between The Who's Tommy, Frank Zappa, and Krautrock like Amon Duul II. It probably influenced Magma and the Zeuhl scene in France. Overall it has some great ideas and moments, but it's sadly ruined by poor choices like the chanting intro, silly spoken word sections, and the "infinity" song which is utter garbage.
